I was watching TV the other night and a commercial came on. Several celebrities were taking turns in a black and white ad slot to bring my attention to the AIDS/poverty situation in Africa. At the end of the commercial, I recognized Tom Hanks voice closing with this statement, "We're not asking for your money. We're asking for your voice." I don't know that just stuck with me. So I visited one.org and began reading about the campaign. I believe there are so many horrible things in our world that need attention. The AIDS pandemic is just one that I feel a since of urgency to act. Anyone that reads this can click on the banner above and sign the declaration. One is the campaign that would reserve one percent of America's budget (which is around 25 billion dollars) to designate towards ending poverty and AIDS in Africa. "We're not asking you for your money. We're asking for your voice."
